Schoep’s League: Week #10

Schoep’s League has 3 more weeks left in the regular season and everyone is still alive in the playoff race except for Agustin and The Destroyers who at 1-9 and 2-8 respectively, stand no chance of reaching the postseason. Raider Nation (8-2) and Just Kaeding (7-3) stand at the top of the standings and will definitely be making a run at the league championship. In between those 4 teams there are some excellent races going on.

Call of Booty had a monstrous week last week defeating the first place Raider Nation 193 to 110.78 in a crucial victory that moved them to 6-4. Not surprisingly Michael Vick is on their team and tore it up scoring 53.32 points in the win. Call of Booty has a crucial matchup this week against the 5-5 Jokeland Haters. The Haters went in the other direction last week losing to Virginia Charger Fan 157.64 to 132.58. To make the playoffs in this league you are probably going to have to win 7 games so both of these teams are in desperate need of a win.

The running game of Call of Booty along with Michael Vick seems too strong to not make the playoffs. With Frank Gore, Ahmad Bradshaw and Jamaal Charles running the ball you have to like their chances of winning this week and advancing to the playoffs.

Phil’s p-hoes is in desperate need of a win as they go up against the 6-4 Raider Hater. With Phil’s p-hoes being at 5-5 and coming off a disappointing loss to fellow 5-5 team The Assassins, they must win this week to stay in the hunt. The 102 point loss last week just won’t cut it, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees are going to have to carry this team if they hope to make it. The rest of their lineup is not very strong outside of surprise of the year Terrell Owens, and because of this lack of depth I don’t think they will be around the top 6 come playoff time.

Virginia Charger Fan is another 5-5 team that looks to have an easy road to the playoffs. This week they take on the anemic Agustin team which is almost a free win and then next week they take on the reeling Phil’s p-hoes. 2 more wins and Virginia Charger Fan will assuredly be in. Their team is loaded with talent at each position such as Calvin Johnson, Adrian Peterson and LeSean McCoy. With that talent and easy schedule ahead Virginia Charger Fan looks like a shoe in for the postseason.
