Semi-Final Results

Little Italy defeated Big Ben’s Bathroom

 Little Italy roared into the finals with a 164-115 win over Big Ben’s Bathroom. Matt Schaub had his second consecutive huge game as he managed to put up 27 points and the team leader was the Bears defense who dominated to the tune of 38 points. They got exactly what they needed from everyone on their team and only one person didn’t have double figures in fantasy points. Despite Ray Rice’s massive 40 point game, Big Ben’s Bathroom just didn’t have enough on this day. Inexplicably benching RB Jamaal Charles and WR Percy Harvin for Steven Jackson and Louis Murphy certainly didn’t help but it wouldn’t have made a difference in the outcome either way.

Beach Bums defeated Tig ManBitties

Beach Bums also won in blowout fashion last weekend, dominating Tig ManBitties 143-90. Michael Vick again proved that he is the MVP of this team with 48 points all on his own. It was also nice to see 37 total points from their big play WRs Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. They will need more of that in the finals. Tig ManBitties just wasn’t able to mount much offense at all. Vincent Jackson was a great call as he had 34 points but two unfortunate injuries derailed their chances. WR Terrell Owens got hurt before earning a single point and Adrian Peterson was a surprise late scratch which all but doomed their hopes.

Finals Preview and Prediction

Little Italy vs. Beach Bums

Little Italy rolls into the finals off of a 164 point effort in the semi’s and is looking for much of the same from their squad. The speed and playmaking ability is there with burners Chris Johnson and Mike Wallace but the biggest decision will come at the RB position where they have to decide between Ryan Torain and Cedric Benson. Beach Bums has the ultimate x-factor in QB Michael Vick who can drop 40+ on you any given Sunday. However it will be an interesting decision at WR as Hakeem Nicks has been one of the league’s premier players all season long but right now is on the bench for Larry Fitzgerald, Mike Williams and Calvin Johnson. That decision could make or break this finals showdown as Nicks could go off at any time. Remember earlier in the year he had a three touchdown game.

Prediction – Michael Vick has carried this team all year long and he will do it again, Beach Bums wins.
