Key Week 12 Matchups
Kotlarz defeated Ezy
Two teams on the bubble for the playoffs had an intense battle in week 12. We saw Kotlarz move to 5-7 and keep their slim hopes alive after beating Ezy 40-31. Ezy fell to 5-7 and is in big trouble with 1 week to go. Ezy was victimized by the anemic play of RB Chris Johnson who did not manage 1 single point. The strong play of Denver’s QB powered Kotlarz to the win as they saw a 3 TD day turn into 17 crucial points that led to victory.
Ryan defeated Burny
Burny had the chance to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the bubble teams but were unable to defeat Ryan who won 33-23. Both teams are now 6-6 and winning in week 13 is extremely important to both teams. In their week 12 clash Ryan was aided by 13 points from Green Bay’s QB and a touchdown from TE Jacob Tamme. Burny put up a decent fight but drawing goose eggs from 5 of their starters was simply not going to get it done.
Pivotal Week 13 Matchups
Ryan (6-6) vs. Ezy (5-7)
Winning is the only option for both teams but more so for Ezy who needs to win and get help to qualify for the postseason. Ezy is in the precarious position of having 3 outstanding RBs at their disposal. Chris Johnson is coming off of the worst week he could possibly have meanwhile Jamaal Charles had a phenomenal week 12. With Rashard Mendenhall most likely going to start the Charles vs Johnson debate will rage all week and could be the reason for Ezy winning or losing their playoff chances.
Grossy and PC (5-6-1) vs. Troy and Rob (9-3)
Troy and Rob have first place sewn up by Grossy and PC are in a desperate state as they sit at 5-6-1. For Grossy and PC they will need to decide if it is worth it to play RB Mike Goodson, who is unbelievably hot right now or stand pat with Brandon Jacobs. They will also be looking to get something out of Randy Moss who has been terrible so far this season. I’m sure if they had another WR on their roster they’d consider benching Moss but they don’t.
Predictions for Week 13
Troy and Rob defeats Grossy and PC
Kotlarz defeats Jake & Nick
Unze and Gally defeats Lick my Brown Star
Ezy defeats Ryan
Wolk defeats Burny
