The BUZZZ and NSL Dynasty
To me, this matchup is all about the running backs. The BUZZZ start Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert at RB, two solid but inconsistent running backs. NSL, however, starts three very strong running backs in Ahmad Bradshaw, Darren McFadden, and Michael Turner. In fantasy football, it’s all about how well your running backs do each week and all of NSL’s running backs have favorable matchups this week. In order for the BUZZZ to pull off the upset, they need Desean Jackson to repeat his performance from Sunday night against the Cowboys and Deion Branch to have a big game against good Packers secondary. In the end, I think there are just too many positives for the Dynasty this week.
Witz vs. Stugots
Expect this matchup to be very high scoring and coming down to just a few points. Both of these teams are loaded, having a really good player at almost every spot in their lineup. Witz’s lineup features Michael Vick, Arian Foster, Chris Johnson, and Reggie Wayne, while Stugots has Tom Brady, Peyton Hillis, Lesean McCoy, and Andre Johnson. With players of that caliber in your lineup, it’s all about matchups. Although the Giants did a good job containing Vick in their first matchup, he still put up very good fantasy numbers. Johnson and Foster face off against one another and neither defense has been very good this year, especially the Texans. Tom Brady faces a difficult Packer defense that has been solid all year. However, Brady has been red hot lately, so there’s no reason to think he can’t put up some solid numbers this week. HIllis and McCoy each have good matchups, HIllis against Cincinnati and McCoy against New York, who will focus on Michael Vick all night. Honestly, I believe it all comes down to Andre Johnson, who gets his rematch against Cortland Finnegan. He will probably be highly motivated and want to have a big game, which I think he will. I like the Stugots in a close game.
