Jokeland Haters defeated Call of Booty
The higher scoring matchup of the two quarterfinal contests saw the Jokeland Haters edge Call of Booty 133.08 to 127.82 in a thrilling contest. Jokeland Haters nearly gave the game away after a giant goose egg from tight end Antonio Gates but was able to regroup and get consistent play out of everyone else on their team. The Jets defense was the icing on the cake as they came through with 32.2 points. Call of Booty had some big production from a few members of their team, namely Michael Vick and the Detroit defense who managed to score 51.6 points between the two of them but they just didn’t get enough on this day. WR Anquan Boldin had his third disappointing performance in the last 4 weeks for Call of Booty.
Phil’s p-hoes defeated Virginia Charger Fan
Phil’s p-hoes rode their momentum from their week 13 victory into another win in the first round over Virginia Charger Fan. In a relatively low scoring game Phil’s p-hoes got the nod 88.4-67.8. Unfortunately for Virginia Charger Fan their QB Matt Cassel was not able to go in this one and that lack of points from the quarterback position might have cost them a chance to advance. And in a league powered by the play of the signal callers, Phil’s p-hoes got excellent performances from their two aces. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees combined for 44.3 in the win.
Playoff Preview Semi-Finals
(1) Raider Nation vs. (5) Jokeland Haters
Fresh of their opening round victory the Jokeland Haters look to pull the massive upset against the league’s top team Raider Nation this week. With Antonio Gates likely out this week, Kevin Boss has stepped in at the tight end position for them and will add some much needed support as they drew a zero spot from the TE last week. Meanwhile the regular season champ who finished 11-2 and ran over everybody this season will look to do the same again in their first playoff appearance. The running game is the key to their success, Darren McFadden is fresh off a dominating performance last week and along with the league’s leading rusher Arian Foster, Raider Nation should be pretty tough to beat.
(2) Just Kaeding vs. (6) Phil’s p-hoes
The 2nd seed Just Kaeding heads into this week’s contest with a few question marks. Multi-purpose threat Percy Harvin was not able to go last week and his status for this game is still up in the air. With him able to contribute in all facets of the game, he is much needed this week if they hope to advance. As for Phil’s p-hoes they are riding a hot streak and their two hot quarterbacks. Chances are if those two get going again then an upset is in order.
Playoff Round 2 Predictions
Raider Nation defeats Jokeland Haters – Darren McFadden and Arian Foster are way too much in this one and Raider Nation cruises into the finals.
Phil’s p-hoes defeats Just Kaeding – This is a quarterbacks league and Phil’s p-hoes has two of the best, and upset is brewing here.
