SCRUF League

Championship Preview-Springfield Flush vs. Rocky Mountain Oysters
Both of the Championship teams weren’t challenged much in the matches preceding the final bout. Springfield Flush blew away Killer B’s by a score of 140.7-91 off of Vinvant Jackson’s breakout performance, as well as some great games from Jason Witten and Jamaal Charles. Rocky Mountain Oysters had a matchup against Devlin Magregor that was just as easy, winning by almost 100 points. He did benefit from Adrian Peterson and Malcom Floyd sitting out their games, as Devlin Magregor was stuck with a few 0s from those players. But he also had some huge points from Michael Vick, Cedric Benson and Brandon Marshall.

For the championship game, Rocky Mountain Oysters carries an immediate advantage with Michael Vick at quarterback, even if Springfield Flush can counter with Peyton Manning. Vick is always dangerous to break out for 30+ points, so he is the key for Rocky Mountain Oysters. His weakness is definitely at running back with two inconsistent players in Knowshon Moreno and Felix Jones. This is where Springfield Flush holds a huge advantage, as he sports the electric Jamaal Charles and steady Mike Tolbert. Tolbert may not have a big name in the San Diego offense, but he has quietly scored 4 touchdowns in the past five weeks and has consistently scored at least 9 points during that stretch.

At receiver, with Anquan Boldin, Pierre Garcon and Vincent Jackson on Springfield Flush and Mike Sims-Walker, Brandon Marshall and Kenny Britt playing for Rocky Mountain Oysters, it looks like an even matchup between both teams. However, Vincent Jackson is the wild card here. He exploded last week for three touchdowns and could do the same against the Bengals. If so, Springfield Flush could make up for any huge numbers that Vick may put up against Minnesota.

Prediction
The players are set, and it looks like an epic battle between these two teams. Even though Rocky Mountain Oysters does have Michael Vick, he has too many flaws on his team to match up against the balance that Springfield Flush has. It may be close, but I expect Springfield Flush to take the win and the championship of the SCRUF League this weekend.
