Scruff League-Week #10

by Andrew Mishler

Locks
 Killer B’s
When you’re 9-1 and on an eight-game winning streak, it’s pretty safe to say that you’ll make the playoffs. Killer B’s has hardly any holes in his starting lineup, and while his bench isn’t too impressive, he definitely has the ability to go deep in the playoffs baring a significant injury to one of his best players in Roddy White and Kyle Orton.
Devlin Magregor
Adrian Peterson, Peyton Hillis and LaGarrette Blount are three of the best running backs in fantasy football, so to have all three of them playing on his team right now must be a dream come true for Devlin Magregor. While his WR situation isn’t near as good with Malcom Floyd and Mario Manningham as his current starters, the rest of his team certainly has the capability to pick up the slack. At 7-3, he should easily cruise into the playoffs. By then, he’ll hopefully have Percy Harvin and Hines Ward healthy and ready to complete the rest of his lineup.
In the Hunt
More Cowbell
Even though More Cowbell only has an average record at 5-4, don’t let that fool you. He has the makings of an elite team on his hands. With Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback, Steven Jackson and LeSean McCoy at running back and DeSean Jackson and Mike Wallace, More Cowbell team has serious firepower at almost every position. While he has had some tough losses this season, his team is built for the long haul and should be able to get into the playoffs. From there, he might have a team that could beat anyone in any given week.
Pigskin Fetish
Pigskin Fetish may be the victim of some bad breaks with a 4-6 record, because his team certainly has the abilities of improving upon that record. Players like Aaron Rodgers, Ahmad Bradshaw, Calvin Johnson and Reggie Wayne are some the elite fantasy players this season, so Pigskin Fetish’s record really has a chance to turn around this season if each player continues their recent production. He’ll just need some better luck than he’s had recently.

On Life Support
Team EMAC
At this point in the season, Drew Brees might be EMAC’s only consistent player. That makes for one frustrating team, as he just can’t count on Jahvid Best, Santana Moss or Mike Sims-Walker to produce anymore. EMAC does have a 4-6 record, but there really doesn’t appear to be any light at the end of the tunnel with his season. He’ll need to swing a trade with someone if he wants to salvage it.
