Total Mayhem Week#10

by Andrew Mishler

Locks
With three teams tied for first place at 7-3 and three more teams behind them at 6-4, it’s tough to say that anybody is a lock for the playoffs in Total Mayhem. But going into week 11 of the 2010 season, a few teams stand out above the rest. Notorious Ego, led by Hakeem Nicks and Adrian Peterson, is on three-game winning streak right now and has no signs of stopping anytime soon. Balls Deep, owner of a two-game winning streak at 6-4, also has the makings of a solid playoff team. He has Aaron Rodgers and two of the best fantasy running backs in the league in Arian Foster and Ahmad Bradshaw, which combined can be a powerful threesome.
In the hunt
You wouldn’t usually think of a 4-6 team as a legitamite playoff contender, but Team WTF!!! Breaks that mold. He’s hot right now with a two-game winning streak and a few stud players in Brandon Lloyd and Darren McFadden. McFadden in particular has only recently added an extra element to Team WTF!!!, so it’s safe to say that his winning streak will continue as long as McFadden’s recent games don’t prove to be a fluke.
On Life Support
At 1-9, Skins Domination should start preparing for the 2011 fantasy season. Brett Favre, Ronnie Brown and Nate Washington are just not going to get it done as starting players, and Skins Domination has learned that the hard way. Go Blue! might as well follow suite, as Philip Rivers won’t be able to save his 4-6 season when there are players like Braylon Edwards, Ricky Williams and Knowshon Moreno surrounding him. If Go Blue! wants to get back into the playoff race, he should consider trading his backup quarterback, Matt Ryan, to a QB starved team.
